NRCME Test Registration
Are you a medical examiner seeking NRCME certification or 10-year recertification, but are unsure how to register for the test? We have a step-by-step build below to complete NRCME test registration!
Step 1: Your National Registry Account
If you are a certified medical examiner seeking recertification, then please skip this step. For all new medical examiners, you will need to start by creating your National Registry account.
- Go to https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov/home and scroll down to click “Register” under the “register online” section.
- Go through the process to complete registration.
- You will be assigned a 10 digit National Registry number. This number will be used later for test registration.
Step 2: Complete Training
If you have already completed training, you may skip ahead. The NRCME requires that you complete an accredited training. We offer the best NRCME training on the market to help you pass the NRCME test on the first try. Click the link below to register.
Step 3: Upload Training Certificate
This step requires you to complete the training above and download your training certificate. Once you have, follow the steps below:
- Log into your National Registry Account.
- Navigate to the “My Profile” page.
- Select the “Manage User Information” link.
- Scroll down to “Training Details” and expand the section.
- Enter the training organization information for your online training:Pass My Physical212 Highbridge St.Fayetteville, NY 13066
- Enter your accrediting organization information:
Non-DCs: Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM)
DCs Only: Providers of Accredited Chiropractic Education (PACE) - Upload your PDF training certificate in the box provided.
Step 4: Wait 24 Hours
Please wait a full business day, typically 24 hours, for the FMCSA to approve your training. You will be notified to your National Registry email address when the training is accepted. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, email FMCTECHSUP@dot.gov or call 617-494-3003.
Common Problems:
- You have not uploaded your training certificate to the correct place. There are two document upload locations, you must upload through the training details on your user information page.
- You have not waited 24 hours.
- Your medical license information is under review. You may check this by going to the My Profile -> Manage User Information page and expand the Medical License Information section. In this section, your license information needs to be accepted or approved. If it says “pending” or “under review” (or similar), you will need to wait for your license to be verified before you may register for the NRCME test.
Step 5: NRCME Test Registration
Your training has been accepted and you are ready to register! Now to pass the test! You have two options for testing, Prometric and Psi. You must be able to take the test before you are even able to view testing sites or test dates. Click one of the links below to get started.
Step 6: After Passing the Test
Once you receive a passing grade on your test (typically 71% or more), the FMCSA will verify and notify you with your NRCME certificate. You should expect this to take about 2 weeks.
